听力原文

I. 听对话,选择与对话内容相符的图片。对话读一遍。

1. M: To help save the environment, what are you going to do?

W: I’m going to clean up the litter in the river near our school as often as possible.

2. M: There are different kinds of pollution around us. What do you think is the most serious?

W: In my opinion, air pollution is. It may cause humans to get many illnesses.

3. M: Jane, your shopping bag looks nice.

W: Thanks. It’s a cloth bag and it’s good for the environment because it can be used many times.

4. M: Sharks are in great danger because of people’s killing.

W: That’s true. We humans are supposed to try our best to save them.

5. M: We aren’t supposed to throw bottles around after drinking. They may cause pollution.

W: I agree. Instead, we should recycle them.

II. 听对话和问题,根据所听内容选择最佳答案。对话和问题读一遍。

6. W: What a clean and beautiful neigh- borhood you have! Has it always been like this?

M: Not really. Just two years ago, rubbish was seen everywhere. Then everyone in our neighborhood worked hard to make it become what it is like now.

Q: What did the neighborhood use to be like?

7. W: The air is seriously polluted. Does it have to do with the factories in our town?

M: Well, I don’t think so. Most of the factories have been moved to far places. Too many families are burning coal now because of the cold. It’s a kind of serious pollution.

Q: Which season is it now?

8. M: Have you ever taken part in the Clean-Up City project, Judy?

W: Not yet, Dave. However, my brother Paul went there last year. How about you?

M: Me neither. Let’s go and help out together this year.

Q: Who haven’t taken part in the Clean-Up City project yet?

9. M: Betty, my father drives me to school every day. How do you get to school?

W: Well, I usually ride a bike. And I think riding a bike is good for health and the environment.

M: You are right. Could I ride to school with you tomorrow morning?

W: Of course, Tom.

Q: How will Betty and Tom get to school tomorrow?

10. M: I refuse to use plastic chopsticks when I buy takeaway food. The fewer plastic things we use, the better it is for the environment.

W: I agree with you. In order to make the air become fresher, I usually plant trees.

M: Great! Everyone should play a part in protecting the environment.

Q: What are they talking about?

III. 听对话,根据所听内容选择最佳答案。对话读两遍。

听第一段对话,回答第11-12小题。

W: Hey, Bill, are you ready to go to bed?

M: Yeah, Mom. I’ve taken a shower already. It’s time for me to go to sleep.

W: OK. But you’re supposed to turn off the lights before sleeping.

M: Do I have to? It’s just a piece of cake, I think.

W: I’m afraid so, my boy. Even such a small thing helps to save the earth.

M: I see. Oh, no! The shower is still on. I must go to the bathroom to turn it off.

W: Don’t worry. I may ask your dad to do that. Go to sleep now.

M: That’s very kind of you, Mom. Good night!

W: Good night!

听第二段对话,回答第13-15小题。

M: Sit down, please. I’d like to take down what happened. Could you tell me about it?

W: Yes, sir. I left the office at around eight o’clock last night, and then I went to a restaurant nearby and ate there.

M: Why did you return to the office?

W: When I finished eating, I realized I had left my cellphone in the office.

M: So you went back to get it, didn’t you?

W: Yes. I entered the office at around fifteen to nine. But when I got to my desk, I found it was in a mess.

M: Was your cellphone there?

W: No. It was gone.

M: So what did you do next?

W: I looked around and noticed there was someone behind the door.

M: Were you afraid?

W: Certainly. But before I could do something, the man behind the door suddenly rushed out. I just saw he was in a blue jacket and had red hair.

(W) Good morning, everyone. Today, I’d like to tell you something about tigers.

Tigers are large cats. The Siberian tiger is the biggest. It can be eleven feet in length and can weigh up to 660 pounds. Generally, tigers like living alone. Tigers have sharp claws. They use them for fighting and killing other animals. Tigers usually eat large animals like wild pigs. Tigers are excellent swimmers. They can swim four miles with an animal in their mouth. When a female tiger is three and a half years old, she is ready to become a mother for the first time. Each time, she usually has three to four babies. Babies will leave their mother at the age of 2 and start a life of their own. Tigers can see six times better than humans at night. Sadly, tigers are endangered. Therefore, everyone should try his best to protect tigers.

Recently, the haze has happened to many cities all over China. Our life has gotten into great trouble because of it. For example, the haze makes us cough. More accidents have happened because of the poor visibility in such kind of weather. Besides, some schools have to cancel classes because such weather is bad for students’ health.

I think we must do something to avoid it. First, we should try to use the public transportation as much as possible. We can choose to walk or ride bikes instead of driving cars. Second, it’s necessary to plant more trees. If we make less pollution, we will have a better world to live in.
